Cameraless Photographs

The photographs in this portfolio share a formal elegance and mysterious quallty of light. Flowers and plants, grouped and collaged, show the contrast of the freshness of youth to the end cycle of life. There is beauty in the linear grace of the dried forms as well as in the soft, fragile succulence of the freshly flowering forms.

These photographic images were produced without a camera. The subjects were scanned, digitally refined, then printed on an archival ultrachrome printer.
